It’s almost Friday! Woohoo!!!!
I am watching My First Place on HGTV right now and some of these people just make me laugh. It is like buying a house is just a flick of the wrist for them! They have no idea what it really involves. Not like I should really be talking because I am not a homeowner, but when I am I think that I will be much more informed then some of these class acts.
*******************
Today was crazy at the office! I think it will be pretty insane until after the new year. Good old Stimulus keeping me employed.
My leftovers from last night was delicious and crazy filling!
Carnival squash, lentils, goat cheese, cran-apple chutney, everything crackers.
Just as good as it was last night!
I wasn’t extremely hungry when I left work, but I knew I need to eat something before hitting the gym so that my belly wasn’t growling while I was on the mill.
I had to make a new trail mix.
Ever had chocolate cover apricot? I stuffed the chocolate chips into one of these and that is exactly what it tasted like. I think I will cut back on the number of appies I put in the mix, but otherwise it was a good sub for the cranberries.
***********************
Kickball was still up in the air so I wanted to get in a good run. I busted out 30min of hill level 6 at 6.2mph and then I did 30min of “flat run” 1.0 incline with negative splits and bumping up .1 mph for every min of the last 10min.
***********************
Kickball was canceled due to the rain again
It seems to always rain on Thursday.
I had no idea what to have for dinner plus I still wasn’t extremely hungry. I made Nick some pork tenderloin with potatoes, spinach and onions.
I ended up eating exactly what I was craving. Fruit, yogurt, granola and nut butter.
I used the rest of my Chobani plain tub and my bowl, added a clementine, small gala apple, heated frozen black raspberries, pomegranate arils and some Bear Naked granola. I also had a butt piece of bread with PB&Co Cinnamon Raisin Swirl (yes it needs caps!). With a tall glass of iced tea.
Now it is time to settle in and watch last night’s Top Chef! It is getting so close to the end! Do you remember Jessie? Ashley? Matine? The season seems like it has been going on soooooo long!
See you all for Friday!!!!!!!

Good Morning! I can’t believe it is Monday morning again. I also can’t believe how awful I slept last night. Actually it wasn’t me, it was Nick. He was tossing and turning the whole night which kept me awake. I told him this morning that if this happens again to please go sleep in the other room or on the couch. Needless to say I was not a happy camper this morning and will not be able to stay awake for the Raven’s game tonight
At least I had prepared my breakfast last night!
Overnight AB&J with banana oats!
Last night I mixed the remains of my plain yogurt with 1/3 cup of oats, berry jam and a little almond milk.
This morning I added banana, flax, almond butter and Bear Naked granola.
I love this combo! Off to fill up my coffee cup. This is going to be a looooong Monday. I hope your day is going smoother than mine!

Can someone build me a boat so I can paddle to work? It is once again raining. It has not stopped since yesterday early morning. Oh and the flooding!
At least I got my waffle!
Onw WAFFLE according to the package plus flax, minus oil. Toppings included a heated mix of pumpkin butter and almond butter, a dollop of Greek yogurt and some granola. With a banana on the side that seriously needed to be eaten.
I was glad to find out that Chobani does not use artificial growth hormone cows milk for their yogurt. I have been reading the book that goes along with Food Inc. and it is seriously shocking. It it takes me awhile to digest chapters and I have ended up having to go back and re-read. Speaking of Food Inc., it comes out on DVD on November 13th! Guess what I will be doing that day?
Time to get on the road, this rain is causing havoc!
See you all later!

Happy WAFFLE DAY!
I made some for breakfast even though they are making me a bit rushed and I still have some kinks to work out, I claim the first batch a success!
I started off with my pancake/waffle mix and followed the directions on the back except I used flax instead of oil.
There was a little spillage…
And before I knew it, I am used to the 3min Belgian waffle makers, my waffle was ready! (note: get topping ready before putting batter on iron…it goes that fast!)
Perfect waffle! Pre-toppings of course!
ON top I put: 4 small dollops of plain Okios, Bear Naked granola, banana and a little agave/maple syrup mix.
Yummy! I even had enough batter to make a small second one that I will save for later!
Long day…kickball straight after work today…I am going to try and get a run in around the fields.
Later y’all!!!!!!
Happy Thursday!

I was so spoiled yesterday, now today feels like my Monday
I think it would be great to have 3 day weekends/4 day weeks all the time, but I know once we had it everyone would want more. Isn’t that the way the world works? “If you give a mouse a cookie”.
The weather is supposed to warm up a bit today but then have rain for the remainder, yuck! At least I do not have to focus on running outside anymore!
I have been slacking in the yogurt dept lately and with Sicily getting to enjoy it now, I thought I would too.
Yummy yogurt mess! Tastier than it looks!
1/2 cup Greek Chobani, 1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean Crunch, 1/4 Uncle Sam, 1/4 cup Bear Naked granola, 1/4 cup Nature’s Path flax flakes, banana, cinnamon.
Time to get a move on!
Check ya later!

Good Morning! Happy two days until the 1/2 Marathon! Momma will be here tomorrow, and the race will be here before I know it! Yikes! Text message me 88509 during the race if you want to send some encouragement for me and all the other runners!
So what are you going to be for Halloween? I have no idea, but I need to figure this out. I was Hannah Montana last year, wig and all.
So for breakfast I went with another round of Kashi 7 nuggets, and for some reason they were not as delicious as yesterday? I think they missed the apple.
Along with my nuggets I had some Kashi H2H, Bear Naked peak protein granola, banana and Peanut Butter &Co Cinnamon raisin swirl.
Chewy nuggets. I could eat this PB out of the jar, and I might have done just that.
I will see you later tonight (maybe) we have a late kickball game and I want to get to bed ASAP!
Flu Shot? October 2, 2009

So this H1N1 flu is getting around already…do you think there is going to be violence to get the vaccine? There is not enough for everyone so I am getting the feeling there will be shady things happening to get certain people the shots. Personally I have never gotten the flu shot…boo on me, yes I know I should get it to protect others if not myself. My co-workers have gotten sick from it already. I have been lucky to not get the flu, KNOCK ON WOOD! I just get really bad allergies, honestly that is punishment enough!
Enough about bugs!
Breakfast was cold this morning and honestly my first bite was a bit of a shock because I am so used to warm and gooey oats.
Big Bowl O’ Cold cereals in 1/4 cups!
- 1/4 cup Uncle Sam
- 1/4 cup Natures Path Flax flakes
- 1/4 cup Kashi H2H
- 1/4 cup Nature’s Path Cinnamon blueberry crunch
- 1/4 cup Chobani plain yogi
- Handful of Bear Naked granola
- 1 naner
- skim
- almond butter for the other 1/2 of the naner…breakfast is not breakfast without almond butter!
Doesn’t the yogurt look like sour cream??
Have you gotten or plan on getting a flu shot?
Don’t forget to check out my 1/2 animal rescue post!
HAPPY PURPLE FRIDAY EVERYONE!
