Sissy does not like being force fed drugs. In fact she gets the strength of a strong man when you try to get something down her throat. We struggled with it last night and once we got the meds in her it caused her to foam at the mouth like she was rabid! This morning went a little bit better, but I am thinking I didn’t get enough down her throat because she wasn’t really foaming again. Yuck.
OK on a happier note I was craving an egg for breakfast like no other!
I mirco’ed an egg to make a simple egg sami on a mini whole wheat bagel.
I should have added some sort if cheese or hot sauce, but I really wanted to taste the egg. I also had a sliced banana and a piece of pumpkin bread.
Simple, different from oats and satisfying. Perfect.
Biggest Loser Tonight!
Save the animals! Looks like it is going to rain for the marathon…I am not excited for that. I hope it changes!

Ugh, the apple fritters from yesterday are finally catching up with me along with all of the pumpkin bread I had eaten today. My body was telling me that I made some poor choices during my run today.
I tried to counter my unhealthy eating with a veggie filled lunch.
Amy’s low sodium vegetable lentil soup with some added corn, broccoli, green beans and peppers. I also has some whipped cottage cheese (more textured like ricotta) with balsamic.
Here is another example of my pumpkin baking adventures.

Pecan, raisin pumpkin muffins…
- 1 cup unbleached flour
- 1/4 cup WW flour
- 1/4 cup almond meal
- 1/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves (I always go a little heavy handed on these)
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 4.5 tbs egg whites
- 1/2 can pumpkin
- toasted pecans
Mix together and bake 350 for 20min muffins, 50min loaf.
After baking Sicily and I watched some football.
This is her angry face at the refs for today’s game. And yes she is sitting like a human. She was very angry with the outcome of today’s game. Ravens loose by 6.
After the game ended it was time to go for my last long run before the race!
I ran about 10.5 miles and ugh my stomach felt like it had a huge blob of sat fat in it. I am telling you the more I stay away from that stuff the more my body rejects it when it encounters it. I felt awful when I got home and had a seltzer that was followed by cheese toast, banana and 1/2 an sandwich thin with PB&Co Cinnamon Raisin Swirl. I also had another seltzer. I only got the toast on film.

I had that feeling like you know you are hungry and you body is saying “feed me” but your gut is telling you I feel like death? I MUST remember this feeling next time I reach for apple fritters.
This week I must treat my body well, I have a race to run in 6 days!
And with that said, I am off to bed!
Night all!

Another beautiful day here in Maryland!
What a way to start off a lovely fall morning with some Fall flavors!
Apple warmed with almond butter and cinnamon and a slice of my pumpkin bread. I think the bread needs to be cooked a little less because I am making it with applesauce instead of oil, but the flavors are all there and I used 1/2 the sugar!
Warmed apple and cinnamon tastes so good together!
Not sure what today will bring besides cleaning and football. I might try to make another pumpkin loaf and cut down the cooking time. I might also try to make something with my apples.
CAW! Go Ravens! Beat the PATS!
Don’t forget to donate to the animals if you can!!!!
Oh! p.s. here is my veggies filled dinner I had last night along with two birthday brownies

Happy Apple Picking Day!
To start off the day I had bananas three ways.
banana and almond butter tortilla, banana and almond butter bite and rounding it out plain yogurt with banana and peak protein granola.
After breakfast I headed to the grocery store for some good old shopping fun!
Before leaving I played a little with Sicily. Sorry for the butt shot!
This is her favorite toy.
So biggest thing about the grocery store was the pumpkin the FINNALY had! I also got a bunch of squash!
How fall does that shelf look???
I am already making some pecan pumpkin bread and I had a flop with some pumpkin biscuits.
Before baking we went a pickin!
Me Picking some Empires. I also really want an apple cider doughnut, but all they had were apple fritters.
I almost finished these and my body is screaming at me and I am craving veggies. Guess what I will be having for dinner???? They were good and I don’t eat them every day!
Birds nest in the tree and one of the two apples I had to sample. I think this was a Stamen?
They also had a bunch of pumpkins and gourds back at the barn (oh the reason why there are no pictures of Nick? He was really anti pictures so I was just happen to have him come with me)
I felt like the witch in Snow White holding this gourd. Doesn’t it look like an apple???
Lastly we picked out some pumpkins that are now sitting out on our balcony.
Pumpkin bread coming out of the oven!
We are going downtown for a Birthday tonight so I’ll see ya tomorrow! Let me know if you want some apples, I have 13lbs of them!
