Important Food Rule Today!

Good Morning!  This is going to be a short one due to the fact that there is an accident on the city roads that I travel to get to work.  Why have we not invented a teleport yet?

Another natural light breakfast!  I took over Sissy’s spot in the window for this shoot and she was not pleased.

Banana Chia Oats!

  • 1/3 cup oat bran
  • 1/3 cup vanilla rice milk, 1/3 cup water
  • 1 banana sliced
  • cinnamon
  • nutmeg
  • vanilla
  • flax
  • chia seeds
  • 1/3 cup Kefir
  • chunky peanut butter

Super creamy and delicious!

It is that time again!  Food Rule of the Day brought to you by Michael Pollan!

Rule #3 Sweeten and Salt Your Own Foods.

I like this rule because I think that restaurants and processed foods abuse our evolutionary buttons.  They will add sugar and salt in large unhealthy amounts just to have our receptors go off and “be happy” by getting what we crave.  This way they figure we will come back for more to revisit that satisfaction.  Next time you can check out how much sodium is in your Lean Cuisine or where sugar is in your cereal’s ingredient list.

It is supposed to be so nice today and then rain for 5 days.  I better get a nice run in this afternoon!
